PurePlay Golf Simulator Software
Pre-launchPurePlay Golf Simulator Software.
PurePlay is the new platform a lot of the sim-golf world is watching — a next-generation, Unreal-Engine simulator built hardware-agnostic from day one. It's not released yet, so here's the honest picture: what's announced, what isn't, and how we'll handle it.
PurePlay is a new third-party golf simulation platform, currently pre-launch. Built in Unreal Engine with real-world photogrammetry and a proprietary physics engine, it's positioning itself as the next generation of sim golf — and, importantly for our work, it's designed to be hardware-agnostic. We're watching it closely because if it delivers on its announcements, it could become a real alternative to today's platforms. But it's not out yet, and we won't pretend to know things that haven't been confirmed. Below is the straight version.

The Next Generation (in Their Words)
Unreal Engine, real-world mapping, built to work with your hardware.
PurePlay is a new, pre-launch golf simulation platform built in Unreal Engine. According to PurePlay, it uses real-world photogrammetry and a proprietary physics engine to deliver highly realistic course play, launches with 40+ custom LiDAR-mapped courses (adding more weekly), and is designed hardware-agnostic to work with multiple launch monitors. It aims to unify practice, course play, and competition in one platform.
Here's what PurePlay says it is — attributed plainly, because the product isn't in the wild yet:
Built in Unreal Engine
With real-world photogrammetry and 4K graphics — aiming for the most realistic-looking sim golf to date.
A proprietary physics engine
Solved per-shot and per-lie, with what they call industry-first water physics.
A launch library of 40+ courses
Hand-built from LiDAR drone mapping by well-known sim-course designers, with new courses promised weekly plus community-built courses.
Hardware-agnostic by design
With both official (licensed, in-game) integrations and open community integrations — meaning it intends to work across many launch monitors without a tangle of third-party connectors.
One unified platform
For practice, course play, and competition.
That's an ambitious pitch. Whether it lands is something we'll judge when it ships — not before.
What We Won't Guess At
The honest unknowns.
Because PurePlay is pre-launch, several things that matter for a buying decision simply aren't public yet, and we won't invent them.
Price
No subscription or purchase pricing has been announced.
Firm release date
There's a waitlist ("get on the list"), but no confirmed public launch date we'd stake a claim on.
The final launch-monitor list
PurePlay says it's working with major launch-monitor brands and adding more by demand, but the confirmed, shipped integration list isn't settled — so we can't yet promise it'll run on your specific unit.
Real-world performance
Marketing claims aren't the same as hands-on results. Physics, course quality, and how smoothly integrations actually work are things we'll only know once it's out and we've run it ourselves.
Why we're telling you this
Because the honest answer to "should I wait for PurePlay?" today is "it looks promising, but don't build your decision around an unreleased product." If you're building now, build around something proven (like GSPro or your launch monitor's own software); keep PurePlay on your radar for later.
When It Lands
Hardware-agnostic suits how we build.
The thing about PurePlay that fits our approach is its hardware-agnostic design. We build around the launch monitor that's right for your room and goal — we're not locked to one brand — so a platform designed to run across many launch monitors is a natural fit. When PurePlay actually ships, we'll do what we do with any new tech: test it ourselves, confirm which launch monitors it really runs on, and support it in builds where it's the right call. If you're planning a build now and intrigued by PurePlay, tell us — we'll factor its trajectory into your hardware choice so you're not painted into a corner later.
FAQ
PurePlay questions.
01 What is PurePlay golf simulator software?
+
PurePlay is a new, pre-launch golf simulation platform built in Unreal Engine. According to its announcements, it uses real-world photogrammetry and a proprietary physics engine, launches with 40-plus custom LiDAR-mapped courses, and is designed hardware-agnostic to work with multiple launch monitors — aiming to be the next generation of sim golf.
02 Is PurePlay available yet?
+
Not yet. As of June 2026, PurePlay is pre-launch with a waitlist and no confirmed public release date. We're tracking it, but we'd advise building your simulator around proven software today and adding PurePlay later if it delivers.
03 How much does PurePlay cost?
+
PurePlay has not announced pricing as of June 2026. We won't guess at it — when official pricing is released, we'll update this page. If you need a platform now, GSPro (about $250 per year) and your launch monitor's included software are known quantities.
04 Will PurePlay work with my launch monitor?
+
PurePlay says it's hardware-agnostic and is working with major launch-monitor brands, with official and community integrations — but the final, shipped compatibility list isn't confirmed yet. We can't promise it'll run on a specific unit until it launches and we've verified it. Tell us your hardware and we'll keep you posted.
05 Should I wait for PurePlay before building my simulator?
+
We wouldn't build a decision around an unreleased product. PurePlay looks promising, but if you're building now, build around proven software (GSPro or your launch monitor's own platform) and keep PurePlay on your radar. Because it's designed hardware-agnostic, choosing an open launch monitor today keeps your options open for it later.
Curious about PurePlay? Let's build smart in the meantime.
We'll keep watching PurePlay and test it the day it ships. If you're planning a build and want to stay open to it, tell us — we'll choose hardware that keeps your options open, and set you up with proven software now. Come see what current sim golf looks like at the showroom.
